Some of you may have noticed from the Segway HT - Owner's Roll
http://www.segwaychat.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=536 that there is little correlation between the date/time stamp of your order and the print number.

I'm not complaining my number is 380; however, weskifm ordered an hour and nine minutes before me and he has Print #1050.

I'm puzzled. [?] Did legal states play a role in determining the print number? Were the print number re-sequenced?

Who has #1? Was number 1,2,3 used in the Amazon.com Segway auction?

Ha!! I just thought of something. It would be really cool to have #360 (for the quick 360% turn you can do on a Segway)

nah, I don't think it's necessarily that odd. the orders are processed by amazon in whatever way their computers process them; they're batched up and sent to segway, who in turn breaks them down to send out the prints. there's so many places along the way that the sequence of orders could be jumbled.

plus, consider that they almost certainly rolled and inserted all the prints into the tubes ahead of time. so there's a huge pile of tubes ready to mail out & there's no numbers on the outside of the tubes.

that's my guess anyhow. :-)

I think that's a pretty good guess, Lookforward. Plus, we know that Segway and Amazon want to keep the sales figures private, so why would they want to send the prints out in any sort of order?
