Segway has now officially posted this on their "Calendar and Events" page, where Cube128 found the Chicago Show for us last June. I think it's great that Segway is again making these sorts of events available. If you live in California, be sure to check it out. You'll be glad you did.

Make sure you tell them to check out SegwayChat, I would love to hear what they think of the Segway's, as well as yours too. ;)
Please share anything you can from the experience. Anyone have questions you would like BruceWright to ask these Segway people? Machine related, Weskifm and ftropea has helped over these few months, maybe some company ideas should be our goal here.
I will think of a bunch before then, thanks for the info Bruce.

Yes, let me know any questions you'd like asked. I'll do my best to get them answered!
My questions, off the bat:
P-series? Any time-table?
Availability of E-series?
Any price changes on the horizon?
Any plans for regional training centers/dealerships?
Is Amazon going to be the main point-of-sale for the future, or is this a one-time-deal?
What are the laws regarding Segway travel in Los Angeles?
What is the stopping distance at the various speeds?
Giving out any free ones today? (thought I'd slip that in....)
Any others?

If we really wanted to, we could come up with our list of ten questions from the Chicago show ... but I think we'll just let it rest. What we learned back then was that Segway knows we have questions ... and that they'll answer them on their time, when they're ready.
I guess my feeling is that if you're lucky enough to get a ride, just focus on the ride and enjoy. Your first ride is one you'll always remember.

I know some of you folks here are also on The IT Question site, and a couple of you were on Spliff's site....
I have to wonder if I perhaps shouldn't mention the internet during my ride, lest I be tarred by the same brush as the rancorous site or the oddball site? (When's the hovering version coming out?)
I'm afraid if I tell them I'm from Segway Chat, I'll get an eye-roll and an "Okay, one of those..."

We've worked hard at avoiding the lunatic connotation that has befallen some other sites, and intend to keep it that way. I think our membership list and links from other excellent internet sites, give a good indication that we are succeeding at that.

Right on, Casey. My shrink advises me to continue participating in this forum if I want to avoid being committed.

Most of the demo guides aren't going to have anything more than the usual answers, so I'll give you them in advance...
There's no public timeline for the p Series at present.
The e Series is available immediately for commercial and business use. I'm not sure of its future consumer sale, although I don't see why not.
As Dean said on GMA, there's no reason to expect any price changes in the near future.
We're doing regional training for Amazon.com purchasers, as noted in the terms and conditions of sale.
That remains to be seen.
Always check with your local city and state government about it's specific laws regarding the use of Segway HT on roads and sidewalks in your community first. We can't keep track of every possible city and town that regulates the HT's use around the world.
We haven't published such information at this time.

Has anyone heard back on this Ticket To Ride event? I responded right away to the email telling them I'd like to come but I haven't heard anything more. I don't know if I got the email by mistake, since the wording sort of suggested that they thought I'd ordered one, which I haven't. I had just signed up for their notifications about events, etc., on the segway web site. Has anyone gotten a reservation confirmation?

Hi j, I think at the event on the 17th, they should just give all of those aspiring to be Gliders a copy of all the questions you just answered; before they are allowed to see what it's like to Feel The Glide.
Enjoy The Glide and When You Segway, May The Glide Be With You.

Well, I just heard back about the Ticket to Ride event. My time is 1-2 PM. It's a two hour drive each way for me but I'm looking forward to trying the HT out!
