There's a new Saturn commercial on TV that I just saw that made me smile. Here's how it goes:
You see a man walking backwards out of his garage and lowering the garage door. He walks backwards to the road, turns left, and then starts walking forward.
You see a school bus driver with a few dozen schoolchildren walking behind him, along the side of the roadway.
You see a lot of people with flashlights walking on roads, which look suspiciously like headlight and taillights (red or white).
You see what appears to be an interstate freeway intersection with tight turning roads, with people walking on them.
In reality, what you see is that people in cars take up a heck of a lot of room. Saturn is trying to show that they care about the people *in* their cars, but to me what they showed is that there is a huge need for alternate transportation. There was no pollution in this commercial, no traffic congestion, and a bunch of people who looked happier (to me) outside of their cars.
One word--Segway.
Does anyone have a digital copy of this video? Anyone have time to make a "home video" version of this movie, except with Segways? That would be awesome.
