What a blast! Sacramento is holding its anually state fair which began last Friday (http://www.bigfun.org).

I got special permisssion from the State police working the fair and I was allowed to enter with my Segway. Talk about fun! The place is huge and was VERY Segway friendly.

I gave about 6 demos to the police from different cities. They loved it! They also kept commenting on how perfect Segways would be for a vunue such as the State Fair.

I got to the fair at 3pm and glided till 10pm. Seven hours of fun. If I had not perfomed so many demos, I could have probably sqeezed about hour or two out of the batteries. That goes to show you that gliding slow gives you an incredible amount of time and distance.

If anyone is the Sacramento area would like to go, make sure to ask for Chief Craft and let him know you're coming. He's a very nice guy and Segway friendly. It's best to ask perimission first. I explained to him that my Sciatica was acting up again and he had no problem as long as I was the only one riding it.

Anyone else take their Segway to a state fair?

It's great you got to attend the California State Fair! Our state fair grounds will only allow medical devices. I may give them a call to double check glide status. If they say no, then when folks ask why I am gliding at The State Fair of Texas, I can honestly respond that they won't let me in at the Oklahoma State Fair!
