Why dont some people understand

I have been reading alot of the Anti-segway stuff and it seems these people dont understand the segway. They dont understand how it works, they dont understand the impact, they dont understand that it doesnt take up "2/3" of a sidewalk. They dont understand that it IS a alternative to cars in most applications. They dont undestand that it can stop on a dime. They dont understand people wont be "jumping out of the way" of a segway moving down a sidewalk. They dont understand the segway isnt a scooter.

While I was in Queens this past weekend, I must have rode past thousands of people, and 100% of those that asked me questions, shouted from their cars, or made some contact in any way were positive about it. I think the only negative comments I have heard, or more accurately, read were in print media. I think that those who are truly negative about the segway, would not be so if they came into contact with one on the street.

As many in these forums have stated, the ones who are negative about it, haven't tried it, nor do they wish to.
