Remember when someone posted a while back about using a flexible solar panel to make a canopy for the HT? And someone else said, that's crazy! Nobody makes flexible solar panels! Well, now Brunton does.

Check out www.brunton.com, or pick up the recent issue of Popular Science to see the Brunton SolarRoll. Custom lentghs are available upon request. The model slated for release is only 14 watts. But you can connect them to one another. What a cool looking shade canopy that would make for the HT!

Well flexible solar panels have been available for quite a long time (just amorphous panels deposited on plastics), but not in a definite prosumer market as this. I'm impressed, even if its a 15 watt panel that's 5 feet long!

Let's just take the safety labels off of everything and let America's problem sort itself out.

Wow, cool. I don't think its quite powerful enough to charge a Segway tho. At 1 foot by 5 foot it only charges a cell phone or digital cameras. You would need lots of them to charge a Segway. Kinda pricey too at $399. Can't wait till they get them down in size and up in watts. Then you could leave your HT out in the sun to charge all day while you work or something.
