Does anyone know if anyone produces Segway helmets that are a bit more interesting than the current black models? I'm in the camp who consider the HT to be a modern chariot, so I'm all about the Roman helmet.

Wouldn't the following helmets look awesome if you modernized them a bit and put more padding in? Perhaps you'd look like a fool, but I'd like it.

Perhaps this is the simplest design for an HT glider:

So, does anyone make these? I may just have to order one from a medieval shop and retrofit it with padding and a strap. This will be fun.

Wow phil that's pretty nice, but not Roman enough for me. Still that guy did a good job.

I like the design and the light is a neat bonus. With the Roman helmet, I was thinking a cool way to utilize the hair would be some sort of reflective red strands to increase visibility in the dark to others.

Just be careful - I've heard numbers as high as 300% Saying a bad fitting / poor design is more likely to cause injury than no helmet at all.

This is in the cycle world, but sure it is similar for an fall.

Thanks,
The helmet is a Pro-Tec Bob Burnquist Pro Series Skate Helmet I bought on-line at Sports Authority and the Logo is home made on a CNC engraving machine. Hopefully I don't have any copyright issues with it.. Fingers crossed.

As a note.. I could'nt find any helmets at the sporting good stores locally that fit. They were all on the small side... geared for kids and skateboards I guess. This helmet is an extra-large and it is still a little tight.

Chapinville,

Nice job! As far as copyright issues... I doubt you'll ever have any as long as it's for your own personal use. If you sell helmets with trademarked insignias, then you're likely to have a problem. For personal use, you should be 100% fine!

Again, nice job! Looks great!
