What do ya think? ;)
My little brother (the K'Nexpert) made that for me. I think he is tired of hearing me talk about the Segway every two seconds. =)

Fear not, for even though I come from the Forbidden City, I surely do not agree with the rules.
I love it!!!! If you hadn't had it on a table with the envelope beside it to give it some concept of size, I might have thought it was a fur'real imitation! <G>

I am a Staff Member @ FIRST's summer camps. Last week we built a "segway" out of legos. It actualy balanced. It measured the distance to the ground and it used that to controle itself.

I love the enhanced traction tires! :D Keep at it, Chris! You'll get there!

A bicycle in 1897 cost $25 ($2,200 today adjusted for inflation).
A Ford Model-T cost $850 in 1908 ($75,000 today adjusted for inflation).
(Can anyone point me to historical prices of horses?)

Hey guys for the technical experts out there you might be interested in this. I am part of FIRST Robotics, Team 263. I am heading up a design in Autodesk Inventor 6 to build a homebrew Segway out of spare parts leftover from our kit and the kit GyroChip. It's tricky but it's going well, I'm hoping to install iButton security on there just because it's cool. I'll keep ya updated!

You should have seen the Segways that some FIRST robotics teams made from their spare parts at Nationals in Houston.

CodeMonkey...you're lucky this is Segway and DEKA we're working with here...otherwise it would be my job as the local legal alarmist (not to say I worry about it, I just know when I'm doing something wrong, heh) to scream bloody murder in regards to some company whining about the DMCA.
This would be a good time to say "thanks, Segway, for giving us all the leeway and ability to innovate, design, and create on, with, and by the HT."
My two cents in this matter,
Jordan

Let's just take the safety labels off of everything and let America's problem sort itself out.

I agree, I was a little worried about this but my inspiration was the other teams I saw at Houston doing it. If anything goes wrong I'll use the age-old excuse..."But Dean all the other teams were building one!" If I'm lucky it'll catch his eye and I can finally talk to Dean.
