UPDATE WEDNESDAY 7 23
The Segway Secrets book is almost finished. Some of you may have shots that could find a place in this very illustrated book. You've seen some of the images I've gathered shown here to embellish ideas or get feedback (Ninette sez hi!) and there are already over 200 images inserted into the pages already from literally all around the world. Yet some empty spots remain.
I need color images of some things that either I take my machine apart to shoot, or perhaps you already have. Anybody who has contributed images or content already knows that they get copies of the book in barter for the use of their shots, and great thanks goes out to all the folks who have contributed.
NEW NOTE: Do NOT pull your machine apart to take shots. I'm willing to do that with my own, but it will probably void your warrantee. Shots in the list are now the ones remaining. Some have been fulfilled already! Thanks, thanks and thanks.
Shots I'm missing but would love to include:
1. Segways in the snow
2. Nice shot of the enhanced performance tires showing tread well
3. Interior of the gearbox and gear meshing close ups --got--
3. The Motor all by itself as a beauty product shot --got--
4. The frame with as much removed as possible
5. Interior of the battery showing the cells --got--
6. Beauty shots of the circuit boards/FETs --got--
7. Dean with various owners and groups
8. Sequence of three: mounting a cyclometer
9. Motor nested inside base
I'm really looking for extra quality images. Shots that communicate their ideas/textures/elements with clarity, good tonality and immediate appeal. Some of the forum members have provided stunning images and some of the immediate LA gliding family are all over the pages already.
If you have shots that you think make the grade, send them to me. My mailbox has no file size limits but for ease of use and download times, JPEG images with a maximum size of 2048 x 1536 is a good starting place.
Each image in the book is ID'd with a tiny type credit running up the side of the picture. Submit the credit line you'd like to see with your images
Thanks a bunch,
