Congress: Less $ for car alternatives

Interesting, if bothersome, article on new congressional appropriations bill that eliminates much of the $ set aside for bikes, pedestrian walkways, etc.

Well of course! Those "alternative" people are probably all a bunch of democrats anyway! Car sales probably contribute greatly to the economy, as do the medical costs associated with the thousands of auto accidents each year. And lets not forget about the funeral business! All of those people getting killed on the highways need proper burials. Those funeral directors are voters.
