Yeah, sorta too bad though that of the three case studies, two feature the Segway as a technology showcase rather than a practical tool, and the third one mentions only two Segways being used. Seems that they are trying to inspire campus use of Segways in a way which we've yet to see anywhere, including in their case studies.
UPDATE: For some strange reason, they seem to list their case studies in two separate places. At the second location, http://www.segway.com/university/campuses.html , there is an other case study, WPI, which seems promising.

i think it's a great start. it took 1.5 years to get the data from the seattle study, these things take time-- there is a lot going on, but cities / biz / govs are tight lipped and it just takes a really long time.

by my count there are 3 of the 4 use the ht for more than learning hubbah.

We're probably disagreeing on PTI -- there was a sentence there towards the end about event coordination, but it sounded a bit too wishy washy to be information.
Sure pt, I agree with you that things take time. I just find it a bit discouraging that the case studies, which are usually the very best things a company has to show, don't seem that compelling, at this point.
>>PTI has also trained its admissions personnel on how to use the Segway HT. With more than 3,000 visits each year, many prospective students and their families are able to try the Segway HT during campus visits. In addition, event coordinators are able to cover more territory, interacting with more students and families during recruiting events.
that's not wishy washy, it's awesome. students, staff and everyone else using hts!
did you read each one?

more amazing stuff.
i'm not sure what you're expecting, but i'm really excited about this- much like the rest of the segway site you can see this will expand over time with more and more great info.

hey pt,
I read each one. The section you cite is wishy-washy to me, but that's subjective, of course.

pt, do you think MAST could edge its way in here?
Hmm.
opti-
i think they'd need to buy a ht and work with segway, sounds like a good match. with the data on the site it might be easier to justify the cost(s).

Yeah, X-Man, and last time I checked, Apple still is around, still kicks the benchmarked butt of IBM-compats, and has a near cult following.
Not too shabby.
pt, I'm still working on MAST's HT...but things are looking more and more promising!

"still kicks the benchmarked butt of IBM-compats"
You apparently haven't been watching the news as of late. Apple was found to have been rigging benchmarks and has taken quite a bit of flack about it.

Sid, the flak Apple has taken is still nothing compared to the real-world performance of the G5. SPEC tests are great, but I saw some of the stuff that the G5 can kick out in comparison to a dual Xeon Dell, and it was remarkable.
...besides, it runs OS-X, enough said!
