I have noticed that the backs of my hands have been gradually getting darker. The only thing to which I can attribute this malady is the fact that my hands are the only part of me that is constantly exposed to the ultraviolet rays emanating from the sun. My common practice is to only wears gloves when is is really cold but I generally wear a cap and either a long sleeve shirt or a pull over when I'm out gliding when there is a chill. Now that summer is here I wear a sun block on the arms because of my Celtic heritage but rarely use it on the backs of my hands. Just an observation.
Has any one else noticed this?

X is my undergrad school.

Yep, I have... the upper sides of my hands and arms are much darker than the rest of me.

Worse! I am a lot darker on my left side than my right. The sun is already up quite a bit when I leave for work in the morning, and so my "south" side (left side) gets a daily dose of direct sunlight. Going home, however, the sun has either already set or is very low and so I don't get much exposure.

It's like "driver's tan" but it's my face and my arms!

A bicycle in 1897 cost $25 ($2,200 today adjusted for inflation).
A Ford Model-T cost $850 in 1908 ($75,000 today adjusted for inflation).
(Can anyone point me to historical prices of horses?)

I have Segway Shins...to get my seg out of my building I have to bring it down two flights of small stairs about maneuver it in and out of two narrow doorways of my building. the seg bangs into my shins when I bring it back in the building on power assist. It's not all that bad really and well worth a few small bruises I got in the beginning. I am much better now but still bang my shins on occaision! Maybe I should go to sports authority and get some catcher's shin guards? ;)
