1,000 miles in about 200 days, or about 5 miles per day. And people say there's no practical use for this thing? Great jobs pt!

http://www.pasadenasegway.com/
A bicycle in 1897 cost $25 ($2,200 today adjusted for inflation).
A Ford Model-T cost $850 in 1908 ($75,000 today adjusted for inflation).

actually, i've already ht 1,000 miles -but- many miles were not recorded on my gps, i only count commuter miles, nothing else...so that means each trip to the store, bank, etc... was never counted.

PT,
How do your tires look with 1000 miles on them ? Any noticeable wear ?

the tires look almost new, i have a new set (spares) and when compared there is only a minot difference, and that is just a slight color change- the tread looks the same, or it hasn't been worn enough to make a noticable difference.

Congratulations PT! I would have been right up there with you by now if it weren't for the fact that I've had my first HT worked on several times (gearboxes, power base, etc), then replaced, and my second one was sent back to Segway LLC for over a week to get new motors and sensors and batteries.

I've ridden about 8-11 miles per day, on average, but now I'm waaaaaay behind you on miles. And I'm getting rid of my personal trainer at the end of July and will be working out in my own gym at home, which will cut just under 6 miles off of my daily Segway commute! Not to mention the fact that it'll start getting into the 117 degree range in the afternoons soon - in about a month. Then, the dust-storms will start with the monsoons... fun! Definitely NOT Segway weather!

Again, congrats PT!
