At the store and realize you don't have room to carry all your groceries home on your Seg.
Try the new shopping bag. It is made from textilene, has the ability to breathe and will not trap moisture.
Bag when not in use can be folded and placed in your front or side bags. The support arms slide and fold out of the way or you can slide them off and leave them at home.
11 colors will be available.
Bag and pricing will be available in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Right on Wayne. Keep the goodies coming. Maybe Segway LLC will contract with you for accessories ? Yours look a lot better and cheaper than theirs...

NO NO NO ! ! PLEASE.....
I recommend you don't even THINK about a contract with Segway. If you do,I think you will eventually be very sorry. Unless they make some changes, you will still be around and they won't.
I like to think in 'Normal price Units'
Segway prices are absolutely ridiculous, ie (Segway key price vs 'Deviant' ?)
Example: The cost to put your HT back to normal after breaking the plastic on the handlebars. There is IMHO NO legimate reason for not making available replacement plastic pieces for the handlebars.
The employees that I have personally met in person or spoken to on the phone are being under utilized. The enthusiasm of these employees will wear off if policies remain 'Status Quo'. As Vice President of a much larger sucessful vehicle company and responsible for 'Education' and 'Dealer Development', I question D.K.'s choices for upper management. (I'm retired and NOT looking for employment)
I love our two HT'S and as long as Segway has a monopoly I would do it all over again (The key word here is 'Monopoly') but, if there was a product equal to Segway that had parts available (not just sub-assemblies), Rewarded their 'Ambassadors'(there are more ways than money), and realized that every purchaser should be an invited additional member of the team. Cultivating 'Ambassador' feedback is the most rewarding R&D that money 'can't' buy.
I don't trust a vehicle company that doesn't have a parts and service manual (with exploded views) available to the purchasers of their product.
You may file this post and quote me.... Segway WILL go 'Belly-up' if there comes to market a truly competitive product and Segway LLC doesn't make some drastic changes. My vocational career qualifies me to make these predictions. "Been there....Done that".
One way..... SEGWAY ! !
well wheels, that's interesting to hear. i don't feel the same way. everyone i know who has worked with segway has only had positive things to say. segway is here to stay, granted they don't move as fast as our a.d.d plagued society, but this is a marathon not a sprint. you might think their prices are ridiculous, but there are choices (keys, accessories, etc...)
i've met many many segway employees maybe more than most people here, and i don't think they're being under utilized, in fact i think they're all worked very hard, above and beyond anything i've seen at most companies, for these folks- it's not a 9 to 5'er.
as someone who is considered an early adopter, i don't want to be rewarded in any way. if you think they don't get feedback from all of us, then you have noticed the changes they've introduced since the launch.
they're not going to go "belly up" anytime soon. this is month 2 of a consumer launch for 1 model.
i value your opinion, it's cool to have a forum where all these views can be expressed.
cheers,
pt

Well pt,you didn't let me down. You replied exactly as I expected, almost..... I did expect you to read and digest what was said before letting your emotional agenda take over and prevent you from making a focused reply.
I didn't expect the 'Little group' to agree with me. Our difference is my experience and tenure on this subject vs yours, (51 years in the automotive industry).
I've seen them 'Come' and I've seen them 'Go'. More than one vehicle has been as outstanding as the Segway, in it's own way, but for some of the reasons stated in my post they are no more. While a company has a 'Monopoly', they
can call the shots but... when competition arrives, it's a whole new ballgame.
Several examples of how I know your prejudice gets in your way:
I said nothing about how hard the employees did or did not work.
I said nothing about Segway needing to move faster.
I said nothing about them going 'Belly-up' "Anytime soon".
Thus far they are getting the R&D but they haven't done any cultivating.
You most likely met many many employees before the consumer launch. Employee attitudes are formed by company performance (NOT necessarily based on sales volume). D.K. is not communicating with the front lines
BTW This is month3, we are about to enter MONTH 4 for the 'I' model,
not 2. mine was delivered March 1st =- June 1st.
I would really like you to address my points (all of them) one by one.
One way..... SEGWAY ! !
Wayne, I really like the shopping bag idea. There are lots of times when the item to carry is just not quite gonna fit - like a nice big head of cabbage <G>. Any chance one of those bag colors might be silver? <G>

Wayne, would there be a maximum load recommended for this carrier? Would a fully loaded carrier affect the balance more than the front bag?

Mini Carrier (shopping Bag) is complete and ready for shipping..
Straps have been added to the bag so you can take bag off your Seg and use it as a shopping bag to pick up your goodies with.
There has been a removable botton added to the mini carrier for more support.
When not is use bag can be removed or support arms can slide back to fold the bag out of the way.
Load -- 20 lb. max.

Thanks Fred,
I hope you get a lot of use out of the mini carriers.
I can't go the chinese food.
I use mine for cokes, candy and hamburgers. You know all the stuff you shouldn't eat.
