I was just doing a "casual" search over at the U.S. Copyright Office and found the title of Steve Kemper's book about Dean Kamen:
1. TXu-995-762: Dean Kamen and Ginger: Changing the World Through Invention / by Steve Kemper. CLNA: acSteven E. Kemper , 1951-
DREG (Date of Registration): March 26, 2001
DCRE (Date of Creation): Year 2000
ECIF 1/B (which is LOCIS code meaning it's a non-dramatic literary/textual work - aka. a book)
To do the search you have to use Telnet to the LOCIS database. Follow these steps:
1) Go to:
http://www.copyright.gov/records/
2) Click on: "Connect to LOCIS using TN3270"
3) Type "1" and press ENTER. (Copyright Information)
4) Type "1" and press ENTER again. (Works registered for copyright since 1978....etc..)
5) Type: "DEAN KAMEN" and press ENTER.
6) You should see a search result list. Type "r b06" and press ENTER.
7) Type "display 1" and press ENTER.
8) Type "display item 1" and press ENTER.
...
And there you go.
That bit of info has been available since March '01. It's amazing what you can find out there just by doing a little digging.
So what do you think of the title? Are you going to buy a copy? When do you think it'll be released?
Regards,
