i'm finally getting to a place where I think i'll save $ by using an HT to get to work. The 5K will be a little much, but I can swing that...however,
I don't want to have to go to training on top of that. I have neither the time, money or inclination to go to 'official' training.
I've contacted JM Lexus (strangely my dad actually knows JM), and they require the training.
Now i know (momentone this is specifically to you) people have talked about resellers...that don't require training, and that sell for sticker, with a VALID warentee. This is the info i need
Please post here or email me if your more comfortable.
Peace,
Jared HT.

Jared, 2 hours of training is more than worth your time.Go do the training, you will learn alot and can ask questions. You will be glad you did. Good luck

Training is no big deal. You can probably get a training class on saturday or sunday.
Take the time, you will enjoy it.

lol...but i'll be stretching the 'ole wallet, just to get the dang thing....and i'll probably be financing it. So, although the training would be cool, it's just not practicle for my situation.

Jared,
The three current alternatives for purchasing are the shop near Celebration, Amazon, and JM Lexus. I imagine if you live in Florida you will be required to train. I would say that I would do the training if available soon and nearby I would do it. Ultimately, my purchase decision had more to do with immediate availability.

Oh, the fourth option is Segway directly as a business.

I heard from some guys today (uninformed about Segway, just read the press) that Segway was dropping all the training locations except for one on the East Coast and one in lala land. Another indication of poor sales.

Jared,
You are aware that training is free? Actually the cost is already included in the purchase price. The only cost to you to train is getting there.
