Yes! I saw it a couple of weeks ago but didn't think to post about it. There are two people in an office, the camera pulls back and it's an enormous room, empty except for a desk, and the guy goes gliding on an i2 towards the camera as it pulls back and he goes off-screen. It's a nice shot.

I wonder if it was on Deadliest Catch or Battlestar Galactica? I'll have to fast forward to the commercials to check.

Aloha,
Roger

CSI reruns are on channel 76. That's SPIKE TV!

Favored by young, testosterone-rich males. You must be doing research. :)

Aloha,
Roger

P.S.: Clarifying the local joke: The title is a part of a local pidgin phrase used to tease others.

I tend to view such efforts as FUD:

Packaging misinformation & bad PR, then passing it off as comedy, does not help anyone, but the opposition.

And you know who you are...

Anyone who listens to or is swayed by that crap doesn't belong on a Segway, anyway.

BTW, thanks for everything you're doing on the Waikiki Neighborhood Board issue regarding Segways on Waikiki sidewalks. While some might think it's a tour operation defending its own interests, we still don't know that it was a tour or rental Segway that was this index case (Sheesh, I hope it wasn't me, I've only been there thrice, I think, in six months.). It's an access issue that could impact all gliders in Hawaii.

Please pass that on to Alan (Owns dealership, FYI for non-Hawaii). Not the SPIKE TV thing. ;)

Aloha,
Roger

having read the article's comments i can see some paranoia from other people in the waikiki area. one person said they had been hit multiple times by machines. MULTIPLE TIMES.

i've been using a segway for almost four years. i have racked up thousands of miles on the three machines we've had and i have only hit my ex-husband... and that was on purpose.

rog, keep fighting the good fight, because your work here can only help to educate the public. local enthusiasts like yourself and SOH working together with neighborhood board members can only help bring a positive resolution to the situation for everyone.
