Not true. The link, http://handsfree-transporter.com/, was not working at the time of my posting. It is now, and I can click on all of the thumbnails in the gallery.

I love this one of Jackie Chan:

This one's interesting, too: notice the reversed i2 wheels and customer fenders:

Sorry, I was referring to the link in the first post.

That's OK.

I'm just very pleased about this significant use of the Segway PT. I'd LOVE to try a hands-free AND one with a Steadicam!

What's with the hula-hoop lookin' thing bolted on the Seg?

It's probably for attaching the lower part of a costume to so that the fabric doesn't get fouled in the wheels. I've seen other videos of such getups based on hands-free Segway PTs.

Very interesting. Is this what Segsby was describing in his post about DrMarty's mod"

Also, can anyone identify the kickstand on this web page?

Aloha,
Roger

Rodger (Segwaiian) That kickstand is the one that DS International, Glendale, Az. is selling I think they are in E-Bay...I've been using one for a couple months and it's great..It has some front clearance problems, But until somebody comes up with one better..It's a real kickstand...I went back and bought 12 more for my friends.. (around $25 ea.)..I liked the lifting handles in that same link...Stan

Ari made mine about 8 months ago. It is perfect. You feel like you are dancing. I haven't used handlebars for about 8 months, maybe more. I just spent all day at the Red Bull Air Races in San Diego with the Handsfree set up. Hmm I went to it last year with the handsfree. Could it be a year already? At any rate it sure gets attention as you glide by. And boy is it nice to be able to carry 2 drinks or two plates of sliders or two Red Bulls. Da chicks dig it!

With Ari's set up I can take the upper segment of the handlebars, put a hole in the lower end of the bar and if I wanted (which I don't) I can slip out the pads and slip in the handlebar with just the adjusting knob and it is about one or two inches shorter than I used to use it in prehistory days.

You don't need no stinkin' handlebars.

I'll have mine at Segfest of course.

How is it in a panic stop? Noticeably different?

drmarty --- would love to see pics and video. to be honest, it might scare me not to have that third point of contact. Any crashes? topple over?
