I was gliding along the waterfront in Clearwater yesterday and a 30-something guy called out, "Go, go, Gadget!"
Didn't ever like the show much, but I took it as a compliment. ;-)

Good job Dan!! You see, to some, that comment would be considered sarcastic henceforth an insult! But you took it as a compliment. That is a good way to see the glass half full!!

As a general rule, I am more likely to get a negative comment from a 40 or 50 year old teenager, than a 20 or 30 year old one...
And the real teenagers, well, that splits up depending on the 'coolness' they are trying to impart at the moment. Solo and duets are always positive, groups of 3 or more get dicy.
And... And this is a big And... The far majority of all comments from everyone, even the church ladys with the eating lemons permanent look, is usually positive.

One of my friends is comedy writer for Fox, and when I told him about the drunken bar lady yelling, "Why don't ya try walkin'!", his response was that I should write a coffee table book entitled, "Things People Yell at Me While Riding my Segway." He is convinced I could make a mint ;)

"Go Go Gadget"...definately a postive remark.
Sounds like a good name for a Segway too. :)
