For me, it's fifty-six.
I average about 56 miles of gliding per week.
How much do you glide? Just curious.

Wow, I'm surprised at the poll, so far.
I thought there were more gliders doing long commutes or using Segways as their primary mode of transportation.
Maybe it's too early in the year for those of you in Northern climes to be out a lot. Granite72, for instance, will be putting in 140 km per week, minimum, when the weather improves in Calgary.
You win some, you lose some, I guess. We here in Hawaii have crazy housing costs, obscene grocery prices, and the highest gas prices in the country. [:(!] But, our rain is warm and we can glide every day of the year. :D
Hey, that's right! I don't have to buy gas for my i2! :)

That I have over 15,000 miles logged on Segways. Our tour has also taught over 15,000 people how to competently ride a Segway ...
I was gliding about 5 - 8 miles a day until my battery started dying. I bought the Segway used and didn't know how used the battery was. It's only a little over a year old for me, but I guess the thing had a lot of use before I got it. So, now I can get to the store and back, which is about a mile and a half round trip, before the indicator shows last bar. Can't afford to get replacements right now, but I'm saving.

Jim, if you have NiMH (not Lithium-Ion) do a search on the Chat for reconditioning batteries. You may be able to regenerate some life back into them. If they're Li-ons, not so much chance...

Hey, you three gliders who are racking up 75-149 miles per week rock! That really lowers your carbon emissions. :)
I wonder how many of the low mileage gliders are doing the Last Mile solution?

I'm estimating 50-75 miles per week. Light shopping is only 6-12 miles round trip. The outlet malls are 14 miles one way. We'll either get a spare set of batteries for each machine or spend some time scouting power outlets around the malls. Once we get there we can do some walking while they charge. Business is slow and we are home based, so spending an extra 30 minutes getting to the store isn't really a big deal.
There are also the wildlife photography day trips we take at the various refuses and state parks. I think we'll get quite a lot of use out of the Segways.
We also plan on using them extensively at the various events we photograph. We're trying to work SegwayFest into our plans this year. We'd like to take the motorhome and participate as vendors, but with diesel what it is, we may end up shipping the Segs and flying out just for fun.

I think on average i do about 50 miles a week. going to and from work, running errands downtown and so on...not counting the tours i get to participate in. this is interesting especially like on the segway social site where you can convert miles/gas/into segway points or whatever that is...
(currently mad at the site...i can't play with the map)[:(!]

Yes, I think many of us have found the Map (Non)Function a piece of 'auka (If I use a scatological term in Hawaiian, is that a no-no? :D).
How do we dislike thee?
Shall we count the ways?
Definitely a beta, at best. Maybe pre-alpha.
I also find composing messages on SS to be somewhat user-unfriendly.
Still, it's a work in progress. We just have to keep plugging away so Inc. won't pull the plug because of low hit counts.
Aloha,
Roger
