What we have, talking about, are new ways to spice up fesT08. I say we take the multiple colored contractile of our members and suspend them between the lenses.
Thus, stiffly, honoring the posters with recognition for their input and output.
We have the segchat awards of 06 and 07 just left the pallet clean with undertones and overtones of a Heimlich maneuver gone wrong or right?
So in honor of EVERY POSTER, typing something they might choke on, game on.

Greetings all, I have mentioned before that I think (In my humble opinion) that award for best post/poster/signature/etc be given out at segfest 08

Thus, stiffly, honoring the posters with recognition for their input and output.

I think this would honor the people who post here, and it has been a success in previous years

Quade, he is calling them the iris awards because rather than giving awards on sc we will see the posters recieving the awards in person when we are at fest. Hopefully I'm a contenda.:D

I will be putting up some rules and regs for the contenders.
One for sure_you must own a segway and be attending segfest and be a registered member of segway chat.

Quade, Mr. L is proposing that the SC awards should be held at segfest. Just ignore the name if it confuses you. Crash, does this get me an award? FYI I have a black i2 and obviously am a member of SegwayChat.

He has brought this idea of SegwayChat Awards up to the FesT Committee, and we would love to support it. I sent the info on to those on the past SC Awards committee and they are all in support of it, but since 3 of us (Sal, Florin and myself) are on the FesT committee, we can not give the time to them at this time. And the other member (who I might add did MOST if not ALL of the work last time) was Gareth who is also lacking the time to work on them. So Mr. L is working on these awards, and it would be something fun that can be apart of FesT, so if you are interested in helping Mr. L. that would be good, but remember those helping probably should not be in the running for an award themselves.

As for the Award name, after spending time with the folks at DRAFT and their Segs4Vets events, Iris is the person who makes much of what happens at a Segs4Vets ceremony come off looking as good as it does. SO of course they would be called the Iris Awards, in honor of Iris, herself.

Hmmm, I see. Not being a member of either other organization and only a member of SC, I did not see the connection.
