Beyond SegwayFesT 2008 events

A couple of people have been talking about a variety of side trips to add on to SegwayFesT in Indiana, and I wanted to gauge some interest in them.

Indianapolis is close to Chicago, about 3 hours away, some have talked about heading up there.

Indiana has a great automotive history, with the Cord and the Studebaker, and some have talked about going to see some of that following the close of FesT.

Post if you have any interest in any of those or other add ons to make that you might be interested in.

It's nice you bring this up Will! If anyone wants to do anything in Chicago after Segway Fest, count me in! Chicago is on the way from Indy to Madison anyway! Just keep me posted!

P.S. If I may suggest a hotel in Chicago it would be the Hyatt Regency! I believe it is quite expensive though! I also know that every time I have stayed there has been on conferences and it was only $149/night. Note these were rather large conferences but maybe if we get enough people and mention the rate I got in the past, they can help out!

There are several college campuses in the area. Indiana University is about an hour southwest of Indy, while Purdue University is about 50 miles northwest (on the way to Chicage).

I've personally glided around the Purdue campus a few times.
