View Full Version : A gps holder accessory
I wonder if any of you have mounted a gps on the X2 (or I2 for that matter) LSF ? I am looking for a solution to mount a MIO 320 GPS (something like 15X10 cm, landscape orientation), as many of my journeys are in wild terrain. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Does the standard accessory bar work for you?
I don't have it, I'll probably need to buy it. In any case, I'll need a specific GPS holder tp mount on it. Right now, I just found something on the internet that can be mounted on a bike handlebar. I'll try to mount it on my LSF handlebar and see how it goes. Thanks anyway.
First you need an holder for the GPS unit itself (I believe an universal type willl not work well, because it should withstand vibrations and shocks), and then a mount to the Accessory Bar. That's how I mounted it (I further secured the GPS with a screw to its holder to resist vibrations - and theft):

This are RAM mounts (on the Handlebar Guard of a Gen I Segway):

The search will show more examples how people mounted their stuff...

. . . and then a mount to the Accessory Bar. That's how I mounted it
Joe, my i2 setup on the accessory bar is identical to yours -- bell, light, and GPS, but my handlebar seems to be angled in the other direction. What's the story?
Looks like an excellent solution, thanks.

The story is, that I intuitively mounted it that way and I still feel that's the most sensible position. Just look at your wrist holding the handlebar and you'll agree. I grin about people mounting the handlebar according to the manual.

JohannesI have ordered an orthopedic consult for your wrists. I would have to glide with my elbows away from my body to use your setup. Maybe Joe have extremely broad shoulders -- like superhero.
