You pretty well summed it up with your "high priced conversion" analysis. If it was done by Mini Cooper, or it was cheaper (or hopefully both), I think there would be interest, but they told me at the LA Auto Show that they have nothing at this time in the works for production.

The popular Mechanics Video Review of the car is pretty compelling... I highly recommend watching it. They talk about the performance and driving characteristics quite a bit. In many ways, it's like a baby Tesla.

if they went with the tesla concept, 0-60 in 9 secs is brutal. Not hummer brutal, but for anyone whom has experienced a MCS, brutal.

I believe there are a couple MC owners on the boards - one of them might have an obscene amount of HP if memory serves correct!

Now, if there was a flexstream cooper!
