View Full Version : Alarm while being plugged in

Since I am still learning about my Segway, every time I surf around some of the older posts I find something new. I read where people were discussing how much power was used while the unit was plugged in AND with the alarm on.

My I2 won't let me do that so I am confused. For the alarm to work, it must be turned on. However when I attempt to plug in the unit while it is turned on the machine goes into an error mode (beeping and flashing read lights). Likewise, if it is plugged in and then turn it on, it also sound the error mode. The alarm with not activate unless the unit is powered up.

What am I missing here, it would be great to have it plugged in with the alarm on . . . how do I do this?

Thanks for a great forum and all of your support!

Activate alarm mode and then plug it in!! And not forget to remove the power cord before deactivate alarm mode, otherwise the unit will shut down.

Thanks for the quick feedback, I can now charge it up and be safe at the same time. :)

What I am sure you'll find, OptiCole, is that if you think there should be an answer to a Segway question: either it has been answered before (and a little searching of these forums will pay off), or you'll get your answer, and several others!

Welcome, it's a great place to share ideas.
