Don't know where I'm going just yet, but its the fun of getting there, isn't it?.

As you all know I've been giving advice on Seg solutions nearly since day one here on SC. Last Friday I picked up a loaner Gen1 10.0 from our good friend Dan (Zorba9) here on SC. He has agreed to loan it to me for awhile so that I can get finished with my long overdue desire to design some of the Mods-n-Bods that I have mentioned so many times. And lest not forget the great fun it is to finally begin to know the pleasures of gliding even if its not my own. I have had it out at least three times in the 6 days that I have had possession of it. I rode it about 8 miles round trip to show it off to my friends. I even got lots of stares and a couple of thumbs up. My son and I were taking turns riding it, one on a bike the other on the Segway, switching off every now and then. Who says riding a Seg isn't exercise :) (the bike riding part). I do plan to get downtown to glide on the Canal before it gets too cold and get with other local Segchat members. Its like Christmas to me right now. I got a lot of dimensions down and starting the Mods-n-Bods so get ready for some new great ideas. I am most greatful to Dan for his generous nature and trust and I will take great care of his Gen1. Many thanks Dan.

Welcome to the feeling of having the "Glide" Ken! Pretty cool!

Dan's a great guy and it's his nature to do a nice thing like this. We're lucky to have him as a friend.

Hope your back is all healed up after your surgery a while ago and that you're feling like a new man.

Best from LadyBroo and me,
Broo

Glad to be able to help out Ken. You've got some neat idea's that will benifit both Gen 1 & 2 Segways. Looking forward to seeing them come to fruition!

Hi guys. Hey Brooster, how ya been? I'm doing fine. I've stopped taking Arthrotec for my back, Oh about six months ago an usually do fine without it. If my back gets stiff I usually pop two or three Ibuprofens and am good to go. Its about the same stuff as the Arthrotec but not as strong. I have good days and bad usually in the morning first thing I'm slow going but I guess I'm one of the lucky ones cause I can still work. I went and showed the Segway to my wife's nephew on Halloween and he's about 6'4" and he rode it and loved it. Today I went to my brothers and let him try it out and he too loved it. This was the first time I took it somewhere else to ride it. I can actually pick it up and put it in the back of the Blazer without help. I was surprised. So Yes, I guess my back is doin fine. Huh?

Besides the Segway and me things are fine. Sunday, two days after I recieved the Segway my wife sprained and chipped her ankle at the end of the driveway getting the paper, while letting the dog out. He runs off, and she trips and falls and can't get up on her own, crying and yelling. I'm in the bath tub and two of my other sons are asleep. She manages to get inside the door and I can barely hear her without my hearing aid in and hear her crying and I thought that the dog got hit, but by the time I got a towel around me and get out of the tub my son had got to her to help her. Then she wanted me to find the dog first. So I get dressed, find the dog about two blocks away and then take her to the hospital. Such a humanitarian she is. Now shes gonna be off work three to four weeks now. Dooh! And she was to start a new position at work within two weeks. I think she will still get it tho.
Anyway, I think I will try the gliding the Canal either Saturday or Sunday afternoon if the weather isn't to bad. I know that will be a blast. You all take care and I'll get back to ya soon.

When we got GadgetmanKen up on the Segway right before SegwayfesT 03...

You were well hooked at that time.

Great to hear you got a unit.

I am in Indy today and tomorrow, maybe you want to join up with Sal and myself on a glide on Saturday, pm me - finally I have internet access - after being out of touch for a couple of days..... Segway Chat on dial up is no fun!

Segway Chat on dial up is no fun!

No Segway chat at all is worse :) It's all relative!

(Remember when dial-up was all we had?? :))

Ken,

Glad to see you can have that Segway smile while actually on a Segway!

Stay safe, and keep us all posted!

And got to glide in downtown Indy.

Lots of fun.

Thanks Sal for being our guide and host!

I think Indy would be a great place for a 2008 fesT!

I came to this thread thinking it was another song reworded. But I guess the Proclaimers aren't too big in the states? Any who, look forward to seeing some cool accessories.
