Suzanne, my Segway, and I just completed a twelve day trip to San Francisco, Salt Lake, Denver, and Colorado Springs (Air Force 20, Wyoming 12). All three airlines were exceptionally helpful in transporting my Segway. United Airlines gets special thanks for handling the Seg and our luggage when I dislocated a knee in the San Fransisco terminal--Hey, it's plastic--and had to take a flight the next day. There was never a problem with the batteries...was only delayed about 30 seconds when I told a ticket agent I had nickels and she punched it up on her computer and said, "As long as you have nickel batteries there is no problem."
