I learned today that their is a software version of the I for EMS and Public Service folks. The major difference is that when you get off (rapidly to treat a patient for example - run after an evil-doer) the Segway just "stands" there.

As a volunteer EMT who covers events like bike and running races this would be a great feature for me. Does anyone know if/how I can get this feature on mine (I have not received it yet)?

That's the "e" model, lipinski. has an electronic kickstand, and is used for ems folks. The bags over the wheels need to have weight in them, but I understand that the medical equipment handles that. Call Segway customer service and talk to them. I think the "e" is running about 500 bucks more, but am not sure.
