I'm going to hold off for as long as possible. I absolutely LOVE my G5, and I have heard that Leopard is slightly slower on nonIntel Machines even though its universal.

I think I'll wait a few months before considering it, maybe 10.5.5 or later.

From what I have read there's not much to speak about when talking about under the hood improvements. Many are merely aesthetic and superficially engaging. (Although time machine is interesting)..

Needless to say, this is the first time I'm NOT going to be an Apple Early Adopter (even though I remember being very very excited about it a few months ago).

The more I have read, the more it seems as though Leopard is a 10.4.X improvement than a whole 10.5 jump.

As chance would have it, I'll be flying into NYC that very day. Wonder if I can swing it so I can wait in line at the 5th avenue store... Macgeek, you gonna be there :D?

Yeah it seems like this release is mainly geared toward developers. There's not much there for end users (new dock, woo hoo :P)

Personally I am pining for an iPhone downgrade. I am a musician and it is ludicrous that I can't put my own songs as a ringtone on my own phone...

Pre-ordered mine, I love the cosmetic improvements and fun new features.

How are early adopters liking Leopard? I've had a few problems with 3rd-party apps but that's to be expected. Overall it looks great and there seem to be many subtle changes for the better.
