I'm looking for other people in Phoenix who have Segways to ride with once I get mine, towards the end of the month.
I also think it would be awesome if there was a way we could have a nice big map of all the states with dots for each owner... this way we could see if there were people close to us with Segways... can someone develop that? Isn't there already software for this?

The segway users group website has a drop down menu of owners. However, few owners have submitted their info.

Yeah, I think the Segway User Group drop down menu is a plus in organization of where owners are located

I had suggested this idea to Frank back in January and he thought it was a great idea then.
But I know he's very busy and either he forgot, or he's just got too much to do between running this board, holding down a job, taking care of family obligations and getting in some glide time(not necessarily in order of importance!)
It would be cool to see where all of us are.

Amen I say to you. It would be wonderful if as many owners as possible would leave some record of where they live. My main reason for getting an HT is to travel and be able to really sightsee when Bev and I get there.
It should only be an email contact so you are only accessible when your life's schedule permits it or frankly, only if you are in the mood. After all, we want the biggest list possible so folks should only be available when they feel like it. That way the list should be the fullest.
Great idea.[^]:D[^]

As others I also have tried to formulate a list. As expected, only the active responded. Naysayers as expected, picked the request apart.
I gave up.
One way..... SEGWAY ! !

An interactive map indicating the locations of Segway HT owners across the country will be coming soon to SegwayChat!

Does it seem that I should cease the intent of the SUG as a result of lack of participation? Yikes, I have offered the world, via links in an easy to understand format, users listed by state and still others are emulating these formats.
I see it this way. SegwayChat has the forum, PT has the personal insight, and I have the links and users covered in an easily navigable fashion.
Does the SUG need not exist? Let me know and I will terminate the site and allow others the pleasure of the work.
Ideas?

Segwayusersgroup:
I agree completely with your assessment of the individual niche each website has carved out. I hope that the Segwaychatters have been visiting the trilogy of sites. I personally like having three distinctly different sites to visit because I know where to find things. I for one greatly appreciate the creative work you, Frank and PT have put into the sites. Don't duplicate what the other has done. It would be nice to have one site that serves as an entrypoint for all three sites. I benefit greatly from all three. I would miss any one of the sites.

Thx for the kind words and support of SUG. I only hope many find it useful. That is my intent.
