[font=Tahoma]How many people would consider living closer to work, to be within Segway range? [font=Tahoma]

And this is just a great time to raise those gas taxes, isn't it? Yikes.
I chose where I live because of proximity to work and dining/shopping/entertainment. Lucky for me the Segway was invented to let me enjoy it even more!
I rode down Ventura Blvd today. That was a real treat!

I am fortunate to live within Segway communting range already. Even before the Segway and I drive my car, I still prefer to live very close to work.
If my job changed and I was much further away, I don't know if I would go through the trouble of moving just to be within Segway range. It would probably depend of how far away I was and if the car commute got to be too far.

If I have the opportunity to relocate, I always take it (renting at present). I hate commuting with a vengence! When I buy my house, it will be within a 10 mile radius of the office!

I live practically downtown in Seattle and have never lived in anything you could call a suburb. It's probably from being raised in a small town, living just two blocks from the main street and three from downtown.
Every time I thought about moving further out it struck me that I wouldn't be able to walk to any of the places I most wanted to be around. Seattle's too big for that but now I'm in perfect locale for the mighty Segway HT.

Having lived in the same neighborhood for 19 years and with a house that's almost paid off, there's no way I'd move just to get into Segging range of work. That's why I'm hoping that either the rumor of better batteries for extended range is true or that I can convince Denver's RTD to let me bring a Segway onto light rail trains during rush hour...

One year ago, I went from a 5 minute walk to work to a 1 hour drive due to a job change. The choice of living location was made due to my wifes family living where we live now. At this point we are both committed to moving within Seg range of my work. But in the meantime, we have plenty of in-town trips we'll use our Segway instead of a car.
