A little noisy from the low light, and a little soft as I was holding the iPhone on my knee, but I got some pretty good shots.
We live right on this waterway, and we we sitting a few feet from the water on our lawn. You can see it was a calm night, as there were only a few ripples in the water. The dark line through the reflections is a sand bar exposed with the low tide.
I like the camera. Easy to use.

That would be nice, but the pix were mainly just the novelty of using my iPhone in this way, and I don't care about fireworks all that much.

Hey, read the thread, man! I'm not the one who brought up video. I know very well what I got for my $600, and I couldn't care less about video on a damn phone.

That makes clear calls, does not take pictures or keep my life in order. I do not want it to order my lunch or anything. Just a phone that has a battery that does not need to be plugged in every night and has buttons that I can dial easily.... Just a plain phone.
I remember the day we moved in 1964 and got two phones, one downstairs in the hall and one upstairs in my parents bedroom. And they were even in color, one green and one beige. Then we moved again a few years later and we had to have a party line, now that was a fun summer for a ten year old!

Gee Dan I'm sorry that I did not put HELLPHISH in front of my statement about the video, which is who I was replying to(I did read the thread). But, in-as-much-as the thread was only 3 replys deep I (incorrectly) thought it could be followed. I will be sure use the quote feature and put proper addressing in my future posts so as not to confuse anyone. I'm also sorry your so sensitive about the video thing, but I glad you're excited that it takes photos and you know what you got for your money.

Apology accepted.
The use of quotes is a good practice.

The iPhone doesn't do video? How very unusual. Is this part of reinventing the cellphone? :D:D:D:D
:) :) :) :)

I beleive the iphone will shoot video in the near future.
I was told that it is going to be part of a software upgrade very soon.
We shall see.
