Me and my i180 just before heading out for a six miler. The basket is mounted on a handlebar guard; the spouse is making a bag using the basket as a liner.
Basket itself is removable; the "grip" onto which it attaches is attached down on the "tube" of the handlebar guard. It is bolted down, and there's a nut cap counter screwed onto the end of the bolt, keeping it in position.
I'll post pic of basket when it's turned into a bag, but the spouse is a wonder at the sewing maching... it's going to be completely black, with a stiff cover, which closes by velcro. Red/maroon piping going to be used, will have a cell-phone pocket and water bottle pocket. Will also have a clear vinyl window in which I can place my disabled placard.
