I just came across a video on MSN.COM of a Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory employee who glides to work every day, followed by a couple of wild turkeys who apparently think he's one of them.
I couldn't copy the link, but you can find it by going to MSN.COM and selecting VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS, then MOST-WATCHED NEWS.
In case it's no longer the "most watched":

So this guy is dealing with turkeys on a daily basis...
Lots of us on this forum have been doing that for years... I know that anyone who responds to my posts have been doing that! LOL

Wild Turkey's aren't terribly bright, but the domestic variety seem to be even more impaired from the cost of tasting so delicious. Mmmm!
They don't drown by standing in the rain and holding their mouth's open (that's a myth), but the young chics don't know when to take shelter from the rain, or know what to eat; even if food is available. They will often die of exposure or starvation, since they have no mothers around to teach them what to do.
The turkey's in the video apparently have no mothers to show them how to properly interact with Segway's or bikes...
What would your mom do if you rode by on a Segway? :)

This sounds like it should be a new Dr. Seuss title!

One of the first times I went out gliding in the neighborhood, the neighbor's cat came running. I slowed down, afraid it would run underneath the platform. Instead, it jumped up on the platform, laid down between my feet, and started cleaning herself.
Now, if I'm leaving while she's outside sunning... she gets a glide around the block.
