From Segway's latest Press Release:
"Film Chronicles 100-day Trek Through America on a Segway PT
BEDFORD, N.H. May 29, 2007– Segway Inc. announced today that it is a sponsor of the release of 10 MPH, a feature-length independent documentary that follows two aspiring filmmakers on a 100-day journey across the U.S. on a Segway® Personal Transporter (PT).
The documentary, filmed in 2004, follows the first Segway PT ride across America and showcases the durability and reliability of the technology as it survives a grueling trip more than 4,000 miles long. The DVD, released today, is available for rental via popular services such as Netflix and Blockbuster’s Total Access, and for purchase on Amazon.com and at participating Segway Authorized Dealers."

My copy should be leaving Amazon's warehouse and making it's way over. Will only take about 3-4 weeks!!!!! :( Can't wait to see it. Should we all watch it whilst on our Segway's?

All I can say, is it's about time the Segway INC recognize how long distance gliding showcases their product in good light when it comes to durability. Now if I can only get them to give me the time of day for my next long distance glide.
Heck, if they called me this week with an offer of support (like borrowing 2 pairs of Li-Ions for 2 months), I'd be happy to start gliding across the country next week (and doing PR events at every town along the way)! Don't laugh, my life is such that I really could do this. The only thing really holding me back at the moment was my addiction for polo. But I suspect that my desire to GLIIIIIIIIIDE would prevail.

When they started Josh and Hunter BEGGED Segway to be apart of their project. And Segway wanted nothing to do with them, and when they got to Boston Segway reluctantly welcomed them to the end of their journey.
Now that they have made it to the big leagues Segway wants to be there bonded with this film.
Like the old saying. The little chicken that asked everyone to help plant and tend the wheat, and no one was willing to do it. But when the bread was baked everyone wanted a slice.

Not quite true. Although Segway was standoffish and did not want to be associated with a film production over which they would have no editorial control, they did lend the 10MPH crew several sets of batteries for the trip.
I can't speak about the arrival in Boston, but I didn't sense any reluctance in the welcome at Bedford.

I bought my 10 MPH DVD at Fry's Electronics yesterday. There were about 10 or so on the shelf. FYI- I am in the Seattle area.

Do you know who within Segway INC offered to loan them batteries for the trip?
By the way, I do remember reading on the 10 MPH's blog/news how Josh/Hunter treated a recent offer of a free i2 by Segway INC with disdain. So don't think either party are excited to be in this "partnership". Based on earlier comments about giving away an i2 in a 10 MPH DVD promotion, I guess Josh/Hunter lowered themselves to finally agreeing to accept Segway INCs offer.

Do you know who within Segway INC offered to loan them batteries for the trip? No, I recall it being on the 10MPH blog that they got the batteries and some technical advice from LLC prior to the trip. Unfortunately the blog is long gone. It all seemed sort of under the table; "As always, should you or any of your 10MPH force be caught or killed, Segway LLC will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This tape will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Hunter."
Today I received my 10mph copy from Amazon.com. There's a sticker on the DVD box about a "What's Your Thing" blog and raffle. One need to register and the form allows to select "EU - Outside US/CN", but according to the Terms & Conditions (http://www.10mph.com/10mph_sweepstakes_terms.htm) I'm not eligible to win the i2 (or other prize) anyway!
1. Eligibility: The 10 MPH 'Do Your Thing' Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is open to anyone who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia [...]

If it makes you feel better: you're not the only one.
I didn't read the small print either.
