The i2 is probably the quickest way to get aound a pavement-wide maze. I've just spent 30 mins stuck in a maze trying to find my way out. One of the garden grown hedge types. So much fun on a Segway. Being able to lean around corners and spin on the spot (during all those dead ends) was priceless.
I'd recommend it! It could be a great fest event, timing people as they cruise around a maze.

Oh yes, mazes are great fun. If you're ever in Hope, British Columbia, the maze at Minter Gardens is wonderful and turnarounds ever so much fun.

Since I haven't seen these mazes, I would be concerned about hitting someone. But it does sound like fun. :)

What was the width of the walkway? My only experience with mazes was the Wooz (http://daviswiki.org/The_Wooz), and I'm not sure if the pathways were wide enough for a person to walk by a segway. I do remember in this public (though you had to pay an entrance fee), there were a fair number of people so any segway glider would have to stop every 15 feet or so to let someone by.

1.5 to 2 Segways wide. I measure everything in Segways! The place was deserted when I went in.

I have never attended one of these hedge mazes in person, only seen them on TV.
I don't even know of any in the Boston area, but I suspect there must be one around...
What do they use as the cheese to lure you in?
