A lot of us have been complaining about the i2 Handlebar Bag and I have just bought a bag for my bike which shows the principle of a better design. In its present form it can't be adapted to fit a Seg, but a Segway version could easily be designed using the same fitting system:

These bike bags have a glass-filled nylon fitting block which attaches to the seat stem by two stainess steel bands. The bag itself has a plastic coated steel frame with two horizontal bars which locate in the fitting block and are retained by a spring loaded latch- there is no way it can fall off. For the Segway, the fitting block would be retained by a screw through the hole used by the existing bag bracket. The difference is that with the bag removed you no longer have a rather nasty metal prong sticking out the front of your seg. The bag and attached frame would have to be redesigned so that the bag was vertical rather than almost horizontal as for the bike bag, but this is the work of a a few days redesign- the bags themselves could almost be used as is- they are a little simpler than you might want for a segway but they are waterproof and practical. The frame would need to be entirely new. You could probably even make a new mounting frame to fit the existing Segway bag- a lot of expense must have gone into tooling for this and you would then have a bag that would just snap on and snap off as it wouldn't need the awkward velcro strap! The bag would not touch the Seg at any point so those with the rather delicate white leanstear wouldn't have to worry about wear and tear on their paint. What does everyone think about this?
