MTV is showing the new video from OK GO, and there are some quick clips of segways rolling around.

I love OkGO... We can only hope that they take their backyard (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbdbVhBGETQ)and treadmill (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv5zWaTEVkI)choreography and come up with something for Segways. It would be fantastic!

Is that the first music video to use i2's?
That video is pretty awesome.

When trying to watch the video, I get an annoying message instead of the video which says that they can't show the video outside the US due to copyrights

nice catch. I remember reading something about this video a while back, but totally forgot to watch for it. HEHE, oddly enough, it's was OkGo blaring on the 'ole iPod this morning.

Those gliders look really, really familiar!
;) ;) ;)
Here's a youtube link so you can avoid mtv.com

Did the first set of gliders look a little unsure of themselves to anyone else? Sort of that look you see when someone is trying to compensate for the balancing the base is doing. They jerk a little as they go along. I didn't notice it in the rest of the video, when the Segways showed up again.

LOL, i thought that too. Actually I thought they looked a little stiff. But, ya know...they were probably very new to the Segways and had a LOT of people watching them. That would make me nervous

Actually, they were probably doing their best to go the exact same speed and stay the same distance from one another... I would bet that those are three of the most highly-skilled gliders you'll ever see :)

Ahh..makes sense. Staying uniform in a small area would be difficult.
Soooooo Hellphish...who were those riders? lol

Hmmm...then, totally unrelated...I completely and sincerely withdraw my comment that 'they looked stiff'. When in fact they looked skilled and handsome! :D
Either way...it's still AWESOME!

The video was shot at different frame rates, and played back at normal speed. This just adds to the creepy background.
The background is actually a very thick upholstry and the high contrast is because you're looking at the backside. The front is actually very subdued.
If you can't see the video on MTV, it's been released on youtube:

Or search youtube for 'ok go wallpaper'
Yup, they were some very skilled and amazing gliders!:D You should see them play POLO!!! (happy PLO?)
OK GO is planning to have a website where you can click on the participants of the video and find out who they are. We might even be able to some stuff that didn't make it into the video. I for one was dissapointed that the segway headstands didn't make into the final cut.... they had a ton of footage to go through as they filmed for 2 days straight!
As far as I know, it is the first music video to use a gen2.

You West Coast Gliders get all the fun!
If anyone would like to talk about it, I'm sure we'd all enjoy hearing the whole story!

Very cool pics! Thanks!
I've become a big fan of these guys... but I'm not gonna lie...I learned about them like everyone else... on YouTube.
A bit of topic here, but another artist I'm just getting into... Regina Specktor. Her latest disc is great (*special thanks to jen for the new baby blue ipod preloaded with this! :D)
Back to OK GO...there is a 'UK Surf' version of their song 'Here It Goes Again' which is slower and very good (it was on Grey's Anatomy a few weeks ago, i think...i watch too much t.v. to be sure :(). It's definitely worth checking out!

Glad you liked them :) I played the part of 'segway #2' in this video.
As for Regina Spektor, I just heard about her a few weeks ago. She reminds me alot of Bjork and I'm really liking her so far.

Hellphish,
Segway #2 eh? Hmmm...is that enough to get you on IMDB.com? lol
Spektor's song that's getting a lot of chart-time is 'Fidelity', but if you get a chance check out 'On The Radio' and 'Hotel Song' (well, if you get a chance check out the whole album, but those are a few of my favorites!)
