I received my package in the mail today, and I am scheduled for training on March 8, however, I noticed in all the material that there are two types of wheels on the Segway. Needless to say, I see smaller wheels with no spokes, and larger wheels with a Mag design. Which unit or set of wheels can I expect to receive on my unit in March.

The smaller wheels is the "P" model. You are getting the "I" with the larger wheels. The "P" has not offically been released. When it is the price we think should be about $3000.00.

ftropea, do you have the i167 or an e Series? I thought that the e series had black wheels, and the i series had grey wheels. Did this change?

I own the i167 (i series) model and it has black hubs and tires. If I recall, the e series also has the same color wheels and hubs. The only differences between the two machines: the e series can self-balance (e-stand) and has additional cargo capacity.

The only time I recall seeing grey, smooth hubs was on the p series (like the one Dean Kamen rides around on.)

In the photo of the CA training, it looks like the reflective stripe circling the tire is much wider..Hope so....

What can I do, as just one person, to make the world a better place?..I can segway...

actually, it's not-- when a flash is used, it looks wider, but they're all the same.

Perhaps this may means that the release of the P series is coming soon? Anybody knows when the P series is scheduled to coming out?

Hi Aacini. There still hasn't been any word on when the p-Series will be released.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. And, I certainly appreciate you taking a photo of the wheel. I am looking forward to opening mine.

Thanks for your answer Brooster. I wonder why the printed materials include descriptions of the P series. I think that the first (preliminary) materials don't have it. Perhaps Segway is preparing to release it soon?

I think this is many people's prayer <G>. However, they've been showing the "p" for some time - Dean Kamen rides on one, and there's even a postcard with a comparison between the "e," the "i," and the "p."
