With all of the new changes to the Segway HT/PT, most of which were improvements to existing systems, the bottom line is that old and new alike they both still self-balance and accomplish the same turns. And, you can now retrieve information that to some is important or interesting.
For those of us who are well versed in using the turn grip, the machines will behave essentially the same. I am looking forward to riding a new i2 and enjoying the new features. Over the next few years I'm sure that the brilliant minds at Segway will continue to make improvements that will make riding easier and more enjoyable. That's what it's all about.
I hope this 2nd generation of Segways can 'wake up' the masses to the benefits of using a Segway. It can be a wise investment if used purposefully.
To everyone at Segway Inc. who dedicate themselves to making the world a little better, I for one, appreciate your effort. I am blessed to be one of the few who have turned their passion of the Segway into a rewarding career.
For me, introducing the technology to new riders every day, and seeing their smiles, I am one of the luckiest people in the world....
