Parkstand an option now

On www.segway.com there is now a building tool where you can put together your own custom Segway PT. I noticed that in the basic version, the parkstand is not included and has to be added as an extra for $99. In the commuter version it is included.

At least it looks quite stable, not as easy breakable as the current (or old now, I guess) one.

Also, looks like there is no 25.0 sidebag cargo system anymore. Only a dual cargo system and that is referred to as "Commercial Cargo". Too bad, I like the more stable bag design, but wouldn't need one on each side.

I saw one in the marketing video which only had one hard case. Cheer up! They look more durable. And they're lockable. You can also take the case off and bungie cord stuff to the platform.

Yeah, I saw that as well after I posted, but when putting together a custom machine on the website, the side cargo bags can only be added as a pair.

Yeah, I think that we can only buy them as a pair also. It is a really great design and the not only lock, but they lock to the machine also. I beleive they are made by Givi, one of the best around the world for cases like that.

They are Givi cases, they do lock to the machine, and they are GREAT cases.

The system is modular as well. You can mount the bar handle unit on each fender, but only use one side or the other if you only want one bag. That way you have a lift handle on both sides, and whatever bag you want.

Good questions.

1. I was told they could be bought separately but not at the beginning.

2. No, there are three ways to buy it. You can buy the bag, the bag and the mounting kit, or the bag, mounting kit, and base plate.

Also, if I remember correctly, accessories aren't available until next month (September).
