50+ demos in one day!

Greg, another NZ glider, and I had the rare opportunity today of being personally toured through Weta Workshops with owner Richard Taylor.

Weta is the multi Academy award winning effects shop of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong, and Narnia films to name but a few.

Having segged to our meeting with Richard, at the end of our tour (probably the best experience ever) he got at least 50 of his designers, sculptors, modelmakers, craftsmen etc together in a large area of the shop where they all tried our segways.

More than 50 segway grins in one place at the same time was amazing.

I imagine that provided a wattage that was enough to bowl you both over. I LOVE the Segway grin. Makes me feel like I've done my good deed for the day.

Fantastic! Such a shop would be a perfect place to use Segways to get around--with due care given to floor surfaces covered in sawdust and other powdery/wet substances, of course. Might very well mean a significant boon to production!
