Gliding on a Segway has got to be the best way to meet new people. For some reason it seems to break down normal barriers between strangers. People seem comfortable to ask you what the hell you're riding on and in some cases 'Can I have a go?!".
I took our Segway to a networking event a few days after we got and had half the attendees having a go or asking about it. Normally at these things I'd be lucky to speak to a handfull of people and get a few cards. I picked up almost everyone's business card and have had all sorts of enquiries to try the seg or maybe even buy one (that was actually only one person).
I'm organising Bungee events over the summer in Ireland and plan to take the Segway along for demos at each of the events. I think there is a value in event organisers inviting Segway owners to their event to add some smiles and great humour.
Taking Segway to a business development meeting in an hour's time. Can't wait - gliding all the way there and back - yeehah!
