Hi all
Maybe it's because I'm new to this Segway lark but the thing is always in my head in one way or another. I haven't been this excited about a material thing since my Red Spitfire bike or my A-Ha posters when I was 10 and I'm now 30 years old.
I was away on holiday last week and managed to get a Segway tour in when I was there. We lent our Segway to a couple of guys promoting their business last week while we were away and I won't get it back until tomorrow. I've been home for 2 days now and Segwayless and it's been like coming off cigarettes or something.
I'm dying to get my hands on it and I hope it's charged enough for a glide when I do get it back.
Will I always have it this bad for the Segway?

Are you a monday lover?
:) It was like that for the first year or two with me. In December, it will be 4 years, and I still take the HT to work almost daily.

So I'm going to be like this for at least 2 years Pam! I hope I can concentrate on other areas of my life and don't end up sneaking out at night to spend time gliding around the streets! It's just a lovely piece of machinery - I can't wait to get out and see some more reactions on faces!

You'll find some reactions on faces, alright.
The Seg is a wonderful--and somewhat life-changing--machine. I still have Seg dreams.

That's funny. I do too - every few nights.
My wife is a good sport, putting up with my jabbering about all things Seg day after day after day. But the Seg really does get under your skin. After over three years of daily gliding, it's very hard to go cold turkey for even one day. So, yes - you're likely to always have it this bad, Dean! ;)

People in my office have SEG knowledge through osmosis.
Because, that is all I talk about.
Everything SEG!
SEGFEST is the Mecca for us I guess!

Dean, welcome to the Segway Experience. You have now joined the group and can never go back!
More importantly, this shows clearly how important it is to get naysayers, disbelievers, heck, everybody, to try the Segway. It is easy to make fun of until you get on it.
Demo away, help change the opinions one by one.

You think not having it for a week is bad? Try going cold turkey for two months if you ever have to get it sent back to Inc for repairs. I assure you, the detox is not fun at all.

Whao thanks for all the replies folks.
So it's not just me who thinks non-stop about Segways. It's raining here today and as I was driving back from an appointment I was visualising my Segway rain outfit - now maybe that is getting a bit sad!
It's weird to think that the Segway is almost an event to look forward to. I can imagine it making people happier about having to go to and from work as they'll get to go on their Segways.
Definitely can understand the Seg Dreams!
Roll on 6pm when I go to pick it up again. I'm going to walk to the place where it has been for the last week and glide back - can't wait.

I am a CEO of a small company in Israel (about 70 employees). Besides running the company I also do lots of consulting work, usually at the premises of our clients. Therefore on most days I need my car to go there and back, sometimes several times a day.
My best days are the days when I only have work at the office. On such days I get to glide to the office and back. On these days I feel, lucky and very privileged. I wish I could do this every day like other people posting here here and shamelessly envy them!

I already had that feeling when I first tried the segway 2 years ago in Montreal, since that first ride I have always been thinking/dreaming/talking/etc./etc. about segways
The next thing you will notice is that big Segway smile on your face, after a glide, look into a mirror and take a look at your face, it will probably look like this: :D a few hours later it looks like this: :) and when the end of the working day is approaching, your face will look like this:  (thinking about the glide back home)

I've been gliding since the machines first became available, and for the longest time it was always an event to step aboard and glide in that amazing balance mode.
I still use my machine for short hauls to the bank, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and a few other local spots for lunch or services, but most of that novelty has worn off.....not all but a little. My latest toy, the Batmobile, has garnered most of my attention since it arrived here in January...and as the Batmobiles "newness" wears off I'll begin riding the Segway more often again. I really enjoy them both equally.

Steve, the obvious thing to do now, is to paint your P series black, add a couple of fins to the fenders, and a flame cowl to the back of your platform... BatWay!

I don't even have a Segway, and I can't stop thinking about them!
So you're not the one with the problem! :D

No, no, and no.
Case in point - I've been gliding to the World Cup Tent (Giant A/C tents with 12 large screens showing the World Cup) every day.
Each day I've been letting the organizers glide around on a Segway with a flying the flag of one of the teams playing that day. Today one of the organizers came up to me and told me that while he was home sick yesterday all he could think about was getting back on the Segway.
Addictive, yes it is.

I sometimes worry about my coworkers and when they will get me fired. I too seem to change every conversation into Segway talk. I must stop.....
