I haven’t posted in over a year or so, but I still lurk, and we enjoy the hell out of our Segways.
I just got home from a late night glide to the beach, on my way back Gliding up PCH when I ran up on a young couple riding bikes with no lights on the sidewalk, as I pulled up next to them I asked why you don’t have lights, just to tease them, and let them know I was there.
It was so funny, and the first time anyone in this town has ever called me lazy, I just glided along with the little punk, and said I am not lazy, I am smart and rich! They were just kids and mouthing off. We stopped to cross PCH at a signal, I pressed the crosswalk button to go up the bluff to my home, they wanted to go the same way, but used the other crosswalk on the same intersection.
I proceeded up about a block and took my normal route witch took me across the street, and where the bike kids were riding, up a steep slope, I passed them with ease. The next thing I saw was this young kid racing me up the hill, he passed me and just before we reached the top, turned into a driveway and stopped, I almost had to dial 911, he looked at me out of breath, and I said "that wasn't very smart, wise up and you may get rich"
The terror on his face was awesome!
