Dartmouth is licensing out its "de-icing and enhanced ice traction" technology, which allows for "instant" de-icing, and for increased traction (up to 40X for snow shoes, for instance).

I wonder if tires could be made using this technology. It would be awesome to have a Segway that could electrically bond with ice while maintaining motion. The current ETTs are awesome, but that would be even more surreal.

These tires are awsome on snow and ice. Not sure where you could get them.
