I am using my Segway also to explore villages and cities and shoot panoramic 360º photos for my website.
I need to carry a Manfrotto tripod (3Kg) and a VR precision head (2.5Kg) and a NikonD70. I am using one of those photo bags, but I spend to much time mounting and dismounting all my setup, so I am planning to buy one of those side bags 25l for the VR Head+Camera and a 550x100mmø PVC tube for the tripod, (vertical position near the handelbar)
Would like to know if anyone here is carrying video-photo equipment on a Segway, and how is doing it.

Thanks for any ideia or tip

I am using a Manfrotto Super Clamp (http://www.bogenimaging.us/product/templates/itemalone.php3?itemid=344) and mount it directly to the handlebar (for eye level shots) or to the 25.0 bag fixture for a lower position. I mount a Manfrotto Ball Head (http://www.bogenimaging.us/product/templates/itemalone.php3?itemid=1955) directly on the Super Clamp and use it to mount my D70S.

Now for the best part. I just extend the kick stand and the Segway itself becomes quite a sturdy tripod (especially with the 12.0 bag on).

Here is a typical result

Great ideia!!
Using the Segway as a tripod!
My Precision VR Head is made of solid metal and it´s 3Kg with the D70 atached, and I could attach (using that clump) it to the a Handlebar kit.
Anyway, I will adapt a PVC tube for the tripod transportation (just in case), it´s important to maintain the VR Head leveled, and in a firm tripod.
