Stolen Segway San Diego

Hi, I am new to this website, I run The EcoCenter for Alternative Fuel Education, we teach 4th-7th grade students about clean air, clean energy, and energy independence. We are in San Diego California, www.sdecocenter.org

Judy_Bishop: March 31st. Does anyone have any recommendations of how I might locate it?. They did not get the charing cord, they did get the black key.

Hi, Judy, and welcome. A couple of things I can think of. If you'll let INC know that the Segway with your serial number has been stolen, maybe they could keep it in your record, that way if anyone calls or tries to get repair, they could contact you. It's just a thought.

Otherwise, I'd watch ebay for someone selling a P. When you see someone selling a P, I'd contact the seller and ask for the serial number of the machine s/he's selling. There's a chance you could catch it that way.

Maybe someone else will have some suggestions.

The charging cord will be no problem for the thief to replace.

If the machine belonged to an individual it may be covered by their homeowners insurance.

If you want to buy a replacement for your lost P model you should check with Person Ford in San Diego. They are an ex-Segway dealer and had a few P models left over. I bought one at a very reasonable price a couple of months ago.

I suggest spending some time searching for Segway keymakers and informing them of your dilema.
