That's a great article on alternatives to driving the SUV. I placed a copy in the News Forum. Just pointing out that there are real people not driving giant vehicles to work each day is excellent. I love the guy who rows to work on the river. I think this type of news story should be done by every paper in an urban area.

How do you think we feel out here....Every other vehicle is an SUV, every other non-SUV is a Mercedes or BMW (or so it seems).
Then there are the two strange westerners who go by everybody ('cause they are all stuck in traffic) on these strange two-wheeled thingies....
It is great to go by everybody and today I again proved that a 9 minute commute on an XT is about 5 minutes faster than the person in a car....and I can glide right up to my desk while they look for parking!
