No foolish gliding in America's Most Segway Friendly City - but we can make a spring glide out of it.
Meet Saturday Afternoon 1 pm at the Eastern Market Metro Station - Washington DC.
We will glide up to Stanton Park to see some Cherry Blossoms and then over to see Gas Light Dan's house project (the house that eBay built) and see what happens from there.
E-mail me if you want more info.
See you Saturday Afternoon! April Fools Day - no foolin just some spring gliding!

We started off at the Eastern Market, glided by all the stalls and antique sellers, then went on to Stanton Park to see the cherry blossoms, then off to Union Station to glide to the top of the parking structure for the great view of parts of DC, one never gets to see from above.
Then we did the Capitol Grounds, where we are allowed, because it is not National Park property. Then went over to see Dan's house project. Everyone loved the mosaic tile floors from Lebanon, as well as the moldings, light fixtures and more, much of it was bought from e-Bay. then we went to Lincoln Park and then out for a bite to eat at a cuban place.
Lots of fun for a spring day!

Will and Dan,
Thanks for organizing that nice glide yesterday - sorry I had to miss the Cuban food - was it good? I can't figure out how to get photos up on this new board, so I will study it and add them later. Thanks

Tricia and I had a great time. It was a perfect day for a perfect glide.
Peter, Thanks for the elastic tie downs - they worked perfectly on the crowded Metro trip to Falls Church.

But not as good as the gliders that we spent the afternoon with.
Let's see what we can do to get a more regular schedule of glides going this season.
I will talk with Annapolis, and see if we can schedule something over there with their gliding tour guide, who dresses up in colonial costume.
No doubt we can also get Austin to host us up in Hagerstown as well.
